PROGRAM GOAL
The
Purchase College Collegiate Science and Technology
Entry Program (CSTEP) seeks to increase the number of historically
underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students who complete pre-professional
programs leading to professional licensure and careers in
science, technology, or health-related fields.
STUDENT ELIGIBILITY for CSTEP
CSTEP applicants must be:
●
either
members of a historically underrepresented group such as: African
Americans, Hispanics/Latinos, Native Americans
or Alaskan Natives, or must be economically disadvantaged and
meet income requirements.
●
full time,
matriculated students, in good academic standing.
●
New York State
residents
●
Demonstrate an interest in and potential for, the CSTEP professions,
and be willing to participate actively in the program. (See a list of
designated professions below.)
Especially encouraged to apply to the Purchase College CSTEP are Purchase
students enrolled in other programs such as EOP, MATS, or
NIH Bridges, or who were previously enrolled in a CSTEP program at
another college or in a secondary school STEP program.
