BIOLOGY FACULTY
The Biology faculty are professionally accomplished and research oriented, with a
special dedication to undergraduate instruction. They publish the results of their
research in scientific journals, serve on the editorial boards of journals and advisory
boards of science agencies, and author technical and text books. Faculty research programs
are designed for meaningful participation by undergraduates through independent study and
the Senior Project. Students become junior research colleagues. Strengths of the faculty
include cellular physiology and electron microscopy, molecular evolution, molecular
biology of development, genetics of animal behavior, circulatory and respiratory
physiology, animal behavior, marine and freshwater ecology, microbiology,
and immunology. |
